Schaffner Knight Minnaugh & Company, P.C. has openings for a full-time administrative assistant and a part-time temporary administrative assistant. This is an opportunity to work with a dynamic group of motivated professionals at various levels and an excellent opportunity to showcase your strong technical and customer service skills.

In this position, you will provide a variety of basic and some advanced administrative support. Responsibilities include typing and formatting financial reports and proposals, processing tax returns, and assisting with saving and retrieving file information as needed. You will be responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the office including, but not limited to; answering a multi-line telephone system, greeting visitors, scheduling conference rooms, processing outgoing packages, scanning documents, managing deliveries and additional administrative duties as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Must be a team player able to work closely and interact well with all levels of staff including partners, members of the professional teams and administrative personnel
  • Proficiency in a Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Experience typing correspondence, proofreading, scheduling appointments and calendaring
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to track documentation thoroughly and accurately
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and effectively handle stressful situations
  • Strong ability to assess and prioritize workloads to meet client and staff needs
  • Attention to detail, organization, and great follow-up skills essential
  • Ability to work long hours, including evenings and Saturdays, particularly during tax season
  • Prior experience formatting and typing financial statements and/or other financial related reports
  • Prior experience with a CPA or Professional Services Firm a plus

Candidate must be flexible and organized, with strong prioritization and time management skills. Must be capable of handling highly confidential information and using good judgment. The candidate must be able to successfully perform and complete, in a timely manner, diversified administrative assistant assignments and possess exceptional interpersonal skills with strong ability and desire to interact with people.
